Jamie joined Green Courte in 2024 and assists in overseeing the legal aspects of Green Courte’s business and investments.
Jamie began her legal career in 2004 in Mayer Brown’s real estate practice. In 2014, she joined Mason, Wenk & Berman, LLC, a boutique commercial real estate firm in Northbrook, Illinois, as an associate and later a partner. Prior to joining Green Courte, Jamie was of counsel in Greenberg Traurig’s real estate group.
Jamie has a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Duke University and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
Brian is Chief Investment Officer and responsible for oversight of Green Courte’s investment, capital markets and investor relations activities.
Prior to joining Green Courte, Brian was a Senior Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Penzance Real Estate, with oversight of capital markets, risk, finance, asset and property management, and all other administrative functions. Before joining Penzance, Brian spent 13 years at Equity International (Sam Zell’s global real estate investment platform) as it’s Chief Investment Officer. At Equity International Brian oversaw all investment and portfolio company activity as well played a key role in oversight of all other areas. Brian was also one of three members of Equity International’s Investment Committee, which included Sam Zell.
Earlier in his career, Brian was Vice President at Madison Dearborn Partners, responsible for sourcing and executing transactions across multiple real estate sectors, a Vice President within the global commercial real estate group at Merrill Lynch and an Associate at PwC.
Brian currently serves on the Weiser Center for Real Estate Advisory Board at the University of Michigan and previously held board positions at both private and publicly traded global real estate companies, including Estapar Estacionamentos (Latin America’s largest parking platform), GuardeAqui Self Storage, ESR Group (APAC’s largest real estate asset manager primarily focused on logistics real estate), Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts, and Grupo Acosta Verde, among others.
Brian holds a BBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and earned an MBA in analytic finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Tim is a Managing Director and the Chief Financial Officer of Green Courte Residential Holdings, LLC (GCRH), Green Courte’s consolidated residential vehicle with an active adult/independent senior living platform (True Connection Communities) and a land-lease community platform (Windward Communities). Tim Joined Green Courte in December 2011 with the firm’s acquisition of The Parking Spot.
Prior to Joining Green Courte and GCRH, Tim spent 10 years as an executive with the Pritzker Family to help build The Parking Spot brand and its’ reporting infrastructure. Over his tenure, The Parking Spot established itself as the premier near-airport parking brand in the industry. Prior the joining the Pritzker family, Tim served as a Manager at Anderson Consulting in their Management Reporting Group.
Tim is a CPA and earned a Bachelor of Business and Accounting from Eastern Illinois University and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago.
Steve, together with the other members of Green Courte’s legal team, is responsible for overseeing the legal aspects of Green Courte’s business and investments. Steve has been with Green Courte since 2008.
Prior to joining Green Courte, Steve was a Partner in DLA Piper’s real estate transactions practice, and he continues as Senior Counsel to the law firm. He joined DLA Piper in 1999. Earlier in his career, Steve was an officer of Rosenberg & Liebentritt, P.C., a Chicago law firm affiliated with Equity Group Investments, LLC (1993-1999), and an associate at Sidley & Austin (now Sidley Austin LLP) (1990-1993). Before enrolling in law school, Steve was an auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. (later Arthur Andersen LLP) from 1985-1987.
Steve has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant.
Matt is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring and closing Green Courte’s senior living and land-lease community investments. Prior to focusing on specialty housing investments, Matt focused on urban parking and land-lease community investments. Matt joined Green Courte in 2012.
Prior to joining Green Courte, Matt was a Junior Associate with Prudential Mortgage Capital Company, where he worked in various roles, including debt originations, portfolio management and credit underwriting. His primary responsibility was to market and execute life-company, CMBS, Fannie Mae, mezzanine and interim debt products.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
Marnie is responsible for arranging the financing for all of Green Courte’s fund investments and executing the company’s capital markets strategies. Marnie also leads Green Courte’s investor relations function and oversees all fundraising activities. Marnie has been with Green Courte since 2008.
Prior to joining Green Courte, Marnie spent three years with Countrywide Commercial Real Estate Finance. As an Assistant Vice President in originations, Marnie was part of a team that originated and closed both fixed and floating rate loans on various commercial real estate asset classes located across the country. Prior to Countrywide, Marnie worked at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company in a similar loan originations role. Previously, Marnie had completed a capital markets analyst training program at Bank One.
